Brainchild
Brainchild
Brainchild is a band that combines the feeling of jazz & soul with the intensity of shredding guitar solos. Their growing list of original songs combined with a diverse selection of covers are a perfect blend of many styles of music. The best way to describe the sound is Brainchild. They are an up and coming band that's out to melt your face. Recently they have been traveling the mid-west rocking out with bands like Sublime, Marshall Tucker Band, Oteil and the Peacemakers, 56 Hope Rd., Family Groove Co. and Groovatron. Playing regularly in Chicago and Indianapolis. A recent highlight was having special guest Kris Myers from Umphrey's McGee sit in at the Kinetic Playground after show during their New Years run. Brainchild attended their seventh straight Summer Camp Music Festival this year and it was the best one yet!

Juke House
Juke House
Juke House is a band of 5 musicians from Springfield, IL. It was formed when Brian and Mike were discussing their love of a style of music known as jump blues. They reached out to other local musicians who they thought would also share their interest in jump blues.

Jump blues is an up-tempo swinging music that is considered the precursor to Rhythm & Blues and Rock 'n' Roll. It was very popular in the 1940's and early 1950's, made popular by artists such as: Louis Jordan, Louis Prima, Nat King Cole, Big Joe Turner, & others. There was a revival of this style of music in the 1990's by artists like Brian Setzer and Joe Jackson and it is still very popular today.

Jump blues got its name because of how people would jump up to dance when they heard it.

Juke House is a band of 5 talented musicians who have come together to bring something 'new' to central Illinois - fun-loving, upbeat, swinging, and grooving music called - Jump Blues!
Part Human
Part Human
Part Human is a producer/DJ out of St. Louis. Since 2009 he has quietly worked on developing production skills that will set him apart from the thick forest of producers and DJs that have joined the industry. He joined Killinoize Productions and took up the reins of DJ’ing in 2012 to help expose his sounds to the world. In a position ready for take-off, he has no plans of slowing down, having shared the stage with artists such as Liquid Stranger, Terravita, Run DMT, 1Up, Dirt Monkey, JPhelpz, Psymbionic, and more. Keep an ear out for Part Human, as his music will only diversify and grow in the coming years.
Chris Bradley & Jen Hood
Chris Bradley & Jen Hood
Chris Bradley and Jennifer Hood are performers and devotees of American "roots" music - country, folk, bluegrass, and rock 'n roll. Chris and Jen first worked together in 2009, and discovered that they shared a passion for traditional country and bluegrass music. In the years since, their ever-expanding repertoire has come to encompass folk, rock, and blues. The duo defies strict categorization, preferring to seek out great songs and perform them in a style that is uniquely theirs.

Close vocal harmonies are a hallmark of the duo's sound. Guitar work is sometimes delicate and melodic, and at other times aggressive and driving. Ever mindful of musical dynamics, drama, good taste, and timing, Chris and Jen always deliver a polished, well-paced performance. From their base in Decatur, Chris Bradley and Jennifer Hood have taken to the road for shows at venues and special events throughout downstate Illinois. Visit this website again for updates on upcoming shows.
Mike and Olivia
Mike and Olivia
Soulful singing, smooth space keyboard and rich harmonies. Mike and Olivia play original renditions of great songs by artists like the Grateful Dead, Norah Jones and Paul Simon.
The Shunpikers
The Shunpikers were originally formed in late Nov 2013 as a one-time cover project to play a December benefit held at Donnie's Homespun for the Ronald McDonald House. It's members have been (or still are) part of several long-standing Springfield institutions, including Dreaming in Colour, Hurricane Ruth, Screamin' Vatos, Lost Boys, Groove Daddies, Debbie Ross Band, and Escape Goatz, in addition to their association with these notable Springfield bands - Secret Society, Senses, DNA, Face the Faxx, Royal Pain, Suns of Circumstance, Brooke Thomas & the Blue Suns, Cats on Holiday, Postwar Fords and Ramblin’ Blues Band.
As it turns out, that first benefit show at Donnie's Homespun for the RMH would not be the only show. As the band worked together, their instant chemistry and common work ethic convinced them to develop into a full working band.
True to their moniker, the direction chosen is a playlist that's all over the map, covering 4 decades and many genres & artists.  From deep funk dance tunes to epic show pieces, all songs you know, just not necessarily the ones you were expecting.  Come take the scenic route.

The Shunpikers are:

Jim Cloney - Bass Guitar & Vocals
Gary Davis -  Guitars & Vocals
Ed Fliege - Keyboards & Vocals
Tim Lacy - Lead Vocals
Scott Nichols - Guitars & Vocals
Chris Noonan - Drums & Vocals
