Founded in Decatur, IL in 2009 with the premise of serving world class food at reasonable prices and creating a refuge for original art and music, Donnie’s menu includes tasty original dishes emphasizing a fresh fusion of worldly flavors that will please everyone from the culinary connoisseur to the average family. Customers come from far and wide to enjoy their fresh pizzas and diverse menu. Vegan and vegetarian options as well as fresh smoothies and salads will satisfy those looking for healthier options. Donnie’s also carries an extensive collection of craft beers and wines.

The original Donnie’s began as a small take-out pizza and sandwich shop in Decatur, IL. Donnie’s enjoyed the support of the Decatur residents looking for a fresh alternative to large corporate chains serving food to cut costs and increase profits. In 2010, Donnie’s outgrew their small takeout shop and occupied the building next door making room for a dining room, bar, and stage. With their upgraded location, Donnie’s quickly became the hot spot for local music and touring acts. Decatur residents appreciated finally having an avenue for great music outside of cover bands and karaoke. In 2011, Donnie’s Homespun in Decatur completed their final expansion with a large outdoor patio.

In the fall of 2012, Donnie’s Homespun opened their second location aspiring to become Springfield’s premier live music venue and restaurant. They have hosted numerous national acts including the Wailer’s and Reverend Horton Heat. Enjoy an expanded food, beer and wine menu at this Donnie’s location.
