Agent Orange
Straight out of the capitol city of Springfield Illinois comes the illest most unsuspecting emcee this side of the Mississippi. Zachary McCoy aka Agent Orange aka Agent O represents real Hip Hop to the fullest. Already a local celebrity in his hometown and a threat to the faint at flow, Agent O has taken his freestyle prowess to a nationwide level. After a few short years of honing his microphone skills and several freestyle battles later, Agent O has positioned himself to be the one to watch in 2009. Before any solo mixtapes or demo's were ever recorded, AO took a 3 hour trip to Chicago and wowed a panel of judges and BET executives to secure a coveted spot on BET's 106 & Park Freestyle Friday competition. As told by one Chicago police officer who was security for the audition; "Orange blew away more than 60 contestants and became the first to secure a position on the show" at the audition. Upon first listen it is evident that Agent Orange is a special individual with a special gift. Confident yet humble, passionate yet realistic and hungry yet patient is the best way to describe the duality of the emcee close friends refer to simply as AO. Blame it on his Midwest upbringing coupled with the strong support he receives from his Mom and Pops in regards to his dreams of becoming a superstar emcee because Agent O has a level of coolness and maturity not often found in a 23 year old aspiring rap superstar in his position. He has already stepped off the stage a winner 2 Fridays in a row on 106 & Park (4/17 & 4/24) and everyone including last seasons overall champion Kay M feels Orange is the next to be crowned (2 wins down 3 more to go). The future is looking bright for this star in the making and with his level of talent and execution, the skies are definitely the limit. Unlike the majority of freestyle artists of Hip Hop's past, Agent Orange will shock the world with his song writing abilities. For a taste of his song writing skills check out his debut Honest Management release: The Real McCoy Mixtape Vol.1. In the meantime, tune in to 106 & Park's Freestyle Friday and witness the rise of this young super talent. I guarantee you find yourself in the same position as the 106 & Park audience when they first witnessed Agent O's dexterity....pleasantly surprised. ..
